The SRK.com Character Battle Poll is here!
Gamesfaqs has always been a haven for scrubs, morons and basically the idiots of the gaming community. Finding an intelligent analysis on that website is like finding peace in a warzone. However Gamefaqs is sadly also *the* place to find the answers to your journey to slay a vid game monster, or to just cheat your silly ass to an quick victory.
The problem is that despite being such a pillar to the gaming community and having a wonderful "Character Battle Poll" each and every summer since 2002; this said contest has been determined by idiots and morons that make the 51% that voted Bush back for a second term seem like completly rational folk. For the past few years complete gay has been ruining the variety that gaming has to offer with the mediocre and unoriginal. And out of the fire of stupidity, SRK.com has responded justly creating it's own character battle poll.
The rules are simple, pick 3 vid game characters to form your team. In this case, it'll be a fighting game character (originally it was only a fighting game character), then an RPG character THEN a random vid game character that is non-fighter and non-rpg. Then vote vote vote until your character beats the fuck out of the other person. There are certain tactics such as breaking miracle stock which adds to your vote count at a sacrafice of some I think. It's very involved since the organizer Kailu Lantis dedicates his time to run this shin dig for all of us at SRK.com. There are tactics, smack talking and theories that make even Batman hypothesises seem dull.
Last year I nearly won the darn thing with Terry Bogard, only to be unseated by Sagat. It was quite funny because at the time, I was entirely winning on the merit of my av making skills, even beating FAN FUCKING FAVORITE Dr. Doom. It was a great upset at the time because seriously...people wanted to see a match up between the prep-time gods of SRK.com Dr. Doom and Batman. At the same time, Batman gotten beasted by Sagat in the semi finals which I think was in due part of Bogard's defeat of Doom in the first semi final.
But this year, No Terry Bogard. I still feel a slight sting of defeat when I remember him, being so close yet not close enough. Well nevertheless I'm in this year and this is my team:
Fighter: Vanessa from KoF series (The King Of Fighters). She's red head, she's a boxer and she's just fun to play. In some ways your atypical woman or stereotypical tomboy, she just has all the qualities I like in a fighter.
RPG: Poo from Earthbound. Earthbound represent. One of the most most original RPGs to hit the gaming scene since the first RPG hit gaming consoles. He's a bad ass karater fighter with PSI powers that fights with his barefists OR a sword.
Other: Agent 47 from the Hitman series. A cold blooded killer. The problem is everyone knows about the Hitman series, but hardlly anyone has associated our Bald Assassin with his name AGENT 47. However one of the greatest things about SRK.com is it's ability for people to win shit by proxy. I'm hoping that because of Vin Disel's chance to play Agent 47 for the Hitman movie, it would mean that since SRK.com loved A Random Fact by Vin Diesel they would help Agent 47 survive past the FIRST FUCKING ROUND.
Well here's good luck to me.
